Umoe wants to support knowledge building about the environment and global warming as well as supporting other activities that may be of interest to Umoe and to the general public.
Ulltveit-Moe’s Climate Center
Norsk Bremuseum/ Norwegian Glacier Museum Fjærland
The aim of the Norwegian Glacier Museum is to collect, create and disseminate knowledge about glaciers and climate. The Ulltveit-Moe Climate Centre is part of the museum and takes you on a journey through time, from the creation of the earth, through the last ice age and finally to the year 2100. The current climate debate is often based on feelings, rather than science. Ulltveit-Moe’s Climate Center aims to build awareness and deliver scientific knowledge to the debate by an interactive and engaging exhibition. The museum is designed by the renowned Norwegian architect Sverre Fehn.
